Our Texas-based firm, Ignision Life Sciences Fund (ILSF), entered into an agreement in May 2020 to obtain ownership in Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital and its management company. ILSF supports Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital through a management services agreement. ILSF will work closely with the current senior management team, who will remain in their roles, and ILSF will assist to increase the hospital’s patient volumes and work to strengthen its position in the Hammond community.

“The ILSF team is excited to work with the management, medical staff, and other members of the Cypress Pointe team who are an impressive group of people. We are confident that together we can establish Cypress Pointe as one of the leading private hospitals in Louisiana and that it will increasingly be a haven of excellence, quality and compassion for our patients, and a great place to work for our staff and physician partners. We look forward to learning from the team’s cumulative experience and growing together as we take Cypress Pointe to its peak performance potential from the strong foundation that already exists.”

Wellness Trends

A generational shift towards “wellness” is emerging, commonly defined as an emphasis on a balanced mind and body. As research and understanding expands, new treatments and habits enter our realm of lifestyle. The individual, not exclusively medical professionals, becomes more conscious and in control of their wellness and health choices. Alterative treatments also become increasingly understood and considered alongside traditional treatments and pharmaceuticals. Attractive opportunities to develop, refine, and manage wellness solutions and advancements show a promising outlook.
